Hello lovely ones and happy nearly Full Moon in Scorpio!
On Wednesday 10th May at 1.43pm PST (adjust for your timezone) we have a Full Moon at 20 degrees of Scorpio.
In the natural zodiac Scorpio is the ruler of the eighth house, governing sex, joint finances, transformation and death.
Soulstrology says that just as intense as the life themes which Scorpio governs, this sign is probably the most intense in the zodiac (Scorpio/Scorpio risings I am sure you are all used to hearing that!)
Regardless of our sign, the life areas governed by Scorpio in the natural zodiac are highlighted at this lunar event, and particularly that of transformation and rebirth
Look at where you have 20 degrees of Scorpio in your unique natal chart to see exactly where this full moon is falling and the other life areas coming under the lunar microscope.
Note, it is the life areas and any planets ruled by Scorpio in your life chart where you will experience the intensity and themes of this sign.
Onwards to the specifics of this Wednesday’s full moon which is known as the Flower Moon.
Soulstrology says this lunar event symbolizes each of us blossoming and flowering into not only a new season of life, but also the next chapter of our soul’s journey.
After the recent retrogrades of Venus and Mercury we find ourselves in the post retrograde shadow where in true retrograde style we are REflecting on what arose for us during the cosmic backspin and things that perhaps went a little awry during the retrogrades are slowly aligning.
Now is the time to harness what we have learned along with the powerful energy of the Flower Moon (which as always can be felt more intensely in the lead up to the actual full moon and the day of) and utilize both to create powerful alchemy in our lives.
As always, a full moon can bring matters which have been bubbling under the surface to the boil, sometimes for healing and releasing, at other times to celebratory completion.
For some of us the transformation which takes place at this cosmic window may involve deep healing, releasing and closure.
For others it may be that certain matters come to fruition, resulting in a celebratory time.
Either way, each of us has the opportunity for a potent rebirth.
Picasso said that every act of creation is at first an act of destruction.
That in order to create something, we usually first must experience destruction, and then from the darkness, the light/creation emerges.
The energies and themes of Pluto (the co-ruler of Scorpio) are power, destruction, death and rebirth/resurrection.
At this Full Moon, Pluto makes a powerful aspect, as does Chiron (the wounded healer).
Soulstrology says that each of us are being asked to integrate the lessons of the recent retrogrades by taking old wounds and turning them into the wisdom (Chiron) that allows what is decayed to die, in order to be reborn and to be soulfully powerful (Pluto).
This may sound relatively simple, and an obvious course of action in order to reap our rightful rewards, but it isn’t always that straightforward.
As humans we often fight change, even if that change is good for us…
We resist change with a concoction of excuses.
That is why some of us need to be pushed (as opposed to being punished) into changing.
We refuse to change until we are forced to.
But the truth is that change is the only constant in life.
It is the only thing that is guaranteed.
We change. Our loved ones change. Circumstances change. The world changes.
Change is the only constant.
Soulstrology says that what each of us needs to do is to be continually open to change.
To not fear it, instead to embrace it.
To know that as part of change we must allow what does not truly serve us for the next chapter of our lives to be released.
To allow what is decaying to die.
And from that empty space to create the next chapter in the book of our lives.
This is alchemy, and it is a continual process.
The question is, do we want to conduct this process consciously and to soulfully navigate it, or instead to be dragged?
Get quiet at this Full Moon so you can really hear what it is that you need to change.
In theme with Taurus season, get outside, preferably by yourself.
With just Mother Nature as your company, tune into your higher self.
Ask yourself what changes you want to make in your life.
What do you want to receive and/or manifest?
Ask yourself what changes you’ve been avoiding.
And then, with total honesty, answer why you’ve been avoiding these changes.
Soulstrology says that we make decisions based on either love, or fear.
Love is our soul, our higher selves, the best version of us which is part of the divine.
Love based decisions lead us to into the light where we experience magic.
Fear is our ego, low vibrational thoughts and behavior.
Fear based decisions keep us small and stuck, and often living in chaos.
It is often harder to make a love based decision because it requires silencing the loud and persistent voice of the ego.
But once you can do that, the hard work is mostly done. Things align almost magically, not always smoothly, but ultimately magically.
Each of us has a new chapter beckoning and a new role for our soul.
But we must meet the cosmos halfway.
We must be brave, be honest with ourselves, choose faith over fear and let love lead the way.
If we can do this now, at this powerful Full Moon, then come October (post eclipse season and with Jupiter’s transit into Scorpio) we will all reap the cosmic rewards.
At this Flower Full Moon I wish each of you great healing and transformation, the courage to make changes.
May all of your efforts be rewarded with cosmic blessings that allow you to blossom into the next chapter of your book of life.
